This is the time of year for Fall Festivals. I really love a reason to celebrate something, so this works out perfect for me. I remember being a little girl and my mom making such a big deal out of holidays and seasons. Summer would be bbq's and fireworks. Fall would be craft festivals and pumpkins. Winter would be hot cocoa and decorating the Christmas Tree. Spring would include planting new flowers and playing in the rain. I'm doing the same with the boys. It's so much fun to get excited about something and watch them get excited too. Today we went to an Apple Festival. The whole way there, Greyson kept saying "are we to the fest-i-bul yet?" He didn't have a clue what we were about to do but he was excited. At the "festibul" they had crafts, games for kids and a classic car show. The boys had a great time. Later that night we went out to a friends farm. They served chili, chuck wagon style, and homemade pies. They have an amazing barn with the inside all lit up in white lights. The boys fed the horses apples and played on their life size Thomas the Train engine. It was like a dream come true for them. We adults sat around the bonfire and talked as our little ones ran like there wasn't going to be a tomorrow. Ahhh...what a nice day.

Sounds like you had a great fall day! We hit the apple festival too and then the orchard as there was a distinct lack of actual apples at said apple days. (:
Ohhhh. That sound SO fun!!!! What a great way to start off your fall season. I am beyond ready to get these kids out to a pumpkin patch and to bounce in some bounce houses and ride in a hayride! Woo hoo! Thanks for sharing the pics. Awesome. You look super cute in your photo too! :-)
Looks like you guys had alot of fun. I can't wait to start traditions like these with Madison.
